Today we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Roe v Wade, the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in this country. It was a blow for women’s health. To this day, Roe has saved the lives of thousands and thousands of women who otherwise might have resorted to unsafe back alley abortions or self induced abortions.

It was also a blow for stronger families, healthier, brighter and better-loved children, and for children to have better preparation for making their way in the world. Society can hardly do better than have parents who love and can care for all their children.

Guys, I never heard of a blow for! I heard of a blow to. That’s what you meant to say, right?

He just reads slower than he used to…
Welcome back, Mr. D!! How many kids have you adopted since you last logged on here? How many are you raising that you don’t want to? (That’s always been the mark of a true pro-lifer.)

Got to me just in time. i was about to send this: “What a kicker! And here I though I ran this show and that when I left it’d die. Uh uh, still going strong. Course it has turned into a mutual admiration society, but what did I expect? Even worse for my fragile ego – when I do come back, I get ignored. Not only have Pat, Chuckles, Rog, et al. abandoned me but I can’t even get a rise out of the dummies. Say it ain’t so, guys. Kate! LMD! Rescue me!”
Now I don’t have to send it. Yeah Pat, still fighting, but getting weak. I’m damn near 80! It unusual but Chuck’s right in his first sentence. Now let me answer:
How many kids . . . seven. How many not wanted . . . three. See? I’m more prolife than not!

So tell me, John, are you still protesting out in front of a clinic and/or someone’s house?

Yup. Every Tuesday, and many other days, outside Planned Parenthood in Reading, and every Saturday at the AWC near Bethlehem where I get ignored by Kathryn Ranieri. That’s our good ole Kate.
On the third Sunday of every month I visit the homes of six killers where I hold this big sign — A KILLER LIVES HERE. My buddy does the same on the fourth Sunday. We’re looking for two more guys, for starters. Know any?

Geez, you are persistent. And, seriously, after all of these years do you think you actually accomplished anything? Be honest.

That’s for Another to decide. I am persistent but I’m not courageous.

Seven? You never mentioned that before– just the autistic kid and the Jesuit priest.
You adopted the other five in the last two years? Good for you!

Well . . . it’s a little more complicated than that. What’s that question again, Chuck? (Good to hear from you too.)

Elena, Pat, see if you can get Kate back here. We, her husband Jimmy and I, had some fun today at auschwitz.. Jimmy was harassing one of my guys, which means Jimmy had to get near him, which means I finally had access to an activist.
First, we caught each other lying. My lie was telling Jimmy my son had him in class — “But I only lie when I really have to.” Jimmy’s was saying Kate doesn’t talk to idiots — “That’s a lie, Jimmy! She used to talk to me!”
That broke the ice and Jimmy listened to my pro-life arguments spiced with some gossip about a spy in our ranks.
The next step is for me to listen to his pro-death ones. Spice welcome.

I don’t think people go to this blog any more, Elena. Back in the days I couldn’t open my mouth without the dummies screaming immediately. Then Rog, Chuckles, and/or Pat would follow. Everybody too busy or what?

People go to it, John, but the energy of some ebbs and flows. Also, we have changed our format somewhat. As you can now see, we have several bloggers who regularly post, including the son of Doctor David Gunn. David, Jr., is writing a book about his experiences and is posting chapters regularly onto this blog. Meanwhile, check out today’s award winning blog by yours truly. Will be interested in your comments! ,
