The National Abortion Federation
NAF was established in 1977 with the merger of the National Association of Abortion Facilities and the National Abortion Council. They participate in a variety of activities, including lobbying efforts, public outreach campaigns, and a helpline referral service to member practitioners. The organization annually holds a meeting to address areas of concern to abortion facilities such as political challenges, staffing, and legal issues. Since 1981 NAF has also held an annual Risk Management Seminar to address clinical aspects of abortion practice. They also publish clinical guidelines for abortion practitioners.
NAF indicates that “In order to become a member, a clinic must complete a rigorous application process.” Member clinics have agreed to comply with their standards for quality and care, updated annually in their Clinical Policy Guidelines, which set the evidence-based standards for abortion care in North America. NAF periodically conducts site visits to confirm that their abortion clinics are in compliance with their guidelines.

Appreciate you chiming in, anonymous. No organization is perfect and, yes, I’ve heard complaints over the years. It’s too bad you can’t chime in with more specifics. It might be a way to convey some constructive thoughts to them….

Tammy – Danielle, Thank you so much for spending the afeonrton with us. The pictures are beautiful and the boys actually had fun! They usually get bored with pictures after 10 mins, but you kept them entertained for over an hour and made the photo shoot effortless. The boys are still telling your knock knock jokes! I loved your 12/13 article and am anxisuoly waiting to learn how to space the playing holes. I’m trying to build a large bore, long flute out of aromatic cedar. It’s my first attempt with real wood. I’ve had some success with PVC tubes but want to learn how to build quality wood flutes. Thank you very much for your tutelage. Mike Vrosh
