Addressing reporters on March 13, 2008, Lt. Gov. and soon-to-be Gov. David Paterson said that this mechanism is not the one by which he would have wanted the top job. It was his first public address since Gov. Eliot Spitzers official resignation.
“This is not the way I would want to aspire in my career. It’s a very ironic feeling, and I just have to try and do my best,” he said on AM radio from Albany.
He stated he wanted to five-day transition period before taking the oath on Monday. This would enable him to get up to speed on state business.
“We needed to get the state back to work. And we needed to have our government functioning,” he said. “We needed to show that to people Monday.”
With Spitzer’s resignation, the fight over Abortion Rights continue, including the Abortion Pill and The Morning After Pill.
The New Yorkers For Parental Rights is already urging soon-to-be Gov. David Paterson to reject Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s attempt to adopt the Reproductive Health & Privacy Protection Act (RHAPP).
Most suspect Gov Paterson to be as reasonable in regard to the protection of the right of women to have access to abortion and other women’s health related issues.
One can only hope that Gov. Paterson will continue the struggle for abortion rights and protect the access for women to abortion providers of their choosing.

One can only pray that the new Gov. will protect a women’s right to choose an abortion when she has an unwanted pregnancy. As well it seems his past record encourages rights on a wide variety of women’s issues, including the abortion pill, and emergency contraception.

The right to medical abortions needs to be protected. I am unfamiliar with the new law that was on the table. I hope Paterson does the right thing regarding access to the Abortion pill. Having seen the Abortion pill work so well, it would be a shame to loose that abortion right.

Abortion should be illegal, God told me so. Told me directly while i was awake he appeared. That’s all the evidence you need.

There are a lot of factors to consider here, not only in whether or not the new law should be accepted, but also in whether or not abortion should be legal and accepted in our society as a moral action. The fact of the matter is that abortion terminates the life of a being of the same species as us–which in my mind (and I would think in the rational mind in general) means it is a human. As a human, the fetus has the right to life, just as all of us have the right to hold on to our own lives. The only thing that separates killing a fetus and killing a newborn child is their location. I don’t believe someone’s right to life depends on their location.

a fertilized sperm and egg is moer than just a larger cell. It is a complex organism that by definition is of human origin complete with chromosomes and DNA. It is not just a cell.
Honestly, has your defense come down to trying to trick people with half truths? Its not better than the media. This is disapointing.

MANY PEOPLE THINK ABORTION IS PRETTY MUCH OK, and most really believe that it is only legal for the first few months. Ask a person on the street to describe PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION, and they will just stare at you – and once you explain it to them, they insist that you are making it up, and they become angry with you for telling them something so gross. TRY IT!
SO WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT KILLING THE UNBORN?
EXODUS 21 THE BIBLE – KING JAMES version s says: 22 If men (men or women, not gender specific) strive (conspire, take an action) , and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her [early, before its time, or with problems], and yet no mischief (permanent damage) follow: he (they) shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he (they) shall pay as the judges determine. 23And if any mischief (permanent damage for child or mother) follow, then thou shalt give life for life, 24 An Eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.” (pretty much describes abortion techniques)_ Basically, whatever is done to the unborn child will surely be done to those responsible for the damage – any damage, any time, anywhere. God himself will have the revenge, folks – and may God have mercy upon their souls.
