It is a hallmark moment in the history of our country. I will not opine exetensively now. Only absorb, the moment, and hope that the polarizations of the past can now be united. As we are all Americans. We must unite, despite differences in our opinions.
This, laid out by Hamilton, and Madison, is the foundation of our society. Those efforts hold true today.
The reproductive rights of women may be safeguarded for a few more years.
As the bigotry and racism of the past seems to die off in their receptacles, a new, bolder, visionary leader of our country emerges.
Let’s hope that our new president will have have united support of the nation to face
the difficult challenges inherited that have been laid in his lap by 8 years of some of the worst management of our country in it’s history.
It would be impossible to describe the litany of mismanagement, ENRON style that this country has suffered so terribly under the Bush nepotism. An apology is in order.
Nepotism. This is a country of merit. A meritocracy. How did the son of a past president with mediocre credentials get so far. A drunk, not very intelligent, one o f the poorest leaders our country has ever had. Sad.
Nepotism. How could out of hundreds of millions of Americans could the son of a president so soon become president himself. This is not the example of a meritocracy.
Please, opine. There must be someone intelligent enough to describe this unbelievable mess this past administration has reaked upon our formerly prosperous nation, a nation that no longer has the moral leadership, and respect. This will all have to be won back.
I can only hope our new president is up to the daunting task of fixing 8 years of utter failed policy.
An utter discgrace to the history of our proud nation, only renewed by the wisdom of the people and their choice to change the course of pathetic ways.

David,
Please elaborate. you seem to be clairvoyant.
Please educate us about the last 8 years where our country has sunk into the toilet, and now this mess is being handed over to a new president.
Please opine on future mismanagement and the incredible good decisions of the past near decade.
You sound like you must be very intelligent.

Your overuse of the word opine doesn’t necessarily make you intelligent.
“As we are all Americans.”
This is a sentence fragment. Perhaps you should consider using the spelling and grammar check on your computer or get a copy of Elements of Style (Strunk and White) and read it before posting your pathetic tomes.
I have no interest in being united with you or your clan of child murders.

grow up people no the world and other nations all have their freedom of speech and in this cause decision making. Bush has made a big mess in his 8 years so now it will take another 8 years to clean it all up. This does not mean that the children killer people as you childishly state it would be exiled. In that case a few of your sisters, aunties, cousins, mother and your grandmother would be out no the first boat sailing!

I hope that there is a special place in Hell for you all to burn.

I am from Kentucky, and I was a little surprised to see that this and my pro-life stance make me a target of your ill will. I am not a terrorist; niether am I uneducated. I am a college graduate and the mother of two adopted children, who are the lights of my life. As someone who suffers from infertility, I take the topic of abortion extremely personally. Of course it’s upsetting. Millions of women are literally throwing away something I would give anything to have. There are also millions of people like me who through no fault of our own cannot carry a child. I do not understand why people who find themselves with an unwanted pregnancy cannot choose the option of adoption. I realize that 9 months of pregnancy, which would be a dream come true for me, may be an inconvenience for some. But wouldn’t protecting a life — which left undisturbed will indeed grow to be a unique individual — be so much better? No matter what kind of label you try to put on it, abortion ends life. If you are considering an abortion, I pray that you will please think of me. I, or someone like me, will adopt your baby. So many parents-to-be wait every day, hoping they’ll be chosen by a birth mother. If for no other reason to reconsider an abortion, let me appeal to your materialism — consider being a surrogate mother. You can be paid to carry this child to term and then allow this baby to make a family’s dream come true. How can it possibly be better to prevent this life from living? Abortion ends life. It hurts people. Common sense tells you that if something is right, people don’t need counseling for it. There are just too many better solutions. I realize that by your standards, I’m a simple Kentucky hick. You think because I believe in God and oppose abortion that that equates me to a terrorist. I guess you can believe what you want. But I thank God every day that my sons were not aborted. Thank God someone chose life and allowed me to be a mother. And I hope that anyone who reads these words will please choose adoption. Turn your crisis into someone else’s miracle.

This’s to “kk” I know that everyone has their own opinion and I respect them for that, and after saying that I’m going to go out on a whim and give my opinion.I’ll bet that you didn’t know that at only 2 weeks, 2 Weeks, the baby’s kidneys are beginning to form, that blood circulates through, that their back is taking shape? Did you know that at only 4 weeks the baby’s brain, eyes, liver, arms and legs are already forming? And that a doctor can find a heartbeat if the baby is healthy enough? If this isn’t enough for you, it it scientifically proven that baby’s respond to gentle stimulous at only 8 weeks along, which means it’s probably a possibility that they can feel slightly before then. I hope I’ve been able to help someone with this information. God bless you.

YOU are very very very VERY mistaken Bush was one of the best presidents just because he did a few mistakes does NOT mean he was one of the poorest presidents our country has ever had. He, in fact was one of the best!!! I hope that someday, whoever wrote this, figures out they were VERY wrong!!! he was a great leader and a christian at that…
– GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.

You call Obama the new era. He has been voting to kill babies for years and yet many still voted for him. Hello??? Please stop letting others think for you. Many say the baby could not live without the mother’s life-giving body, so if you abort it, it’s okay. Wait a second, if you take a one month old baby, and just leave it alone, don’t feed or nourish it, it would die too. What about a 6 month old? It would also die… a 10 month old, etc. So now, some vote for the most extreme left winger to rule our country…a man who thinks a baby is a punishment to the mother. A man who votes to allow the babies who live through an abortion to die on the table after the birth. How long will it be until a baby 2 or 3 days old can be left to die because the mother decides she can’t care for it, or it’s in the way of her life? Will they eventually say that a 2 or 3 year old should die because the mother no longer wants it? The time to decide if you want to have a baby is in the bedroom, not the abortionist clinic. Real babies are being killed here. Please stop!

Hi,
I made an error, and misrepresented the URL in comment #11.
The site does not help pregnant women make an informed choice.
It is a biased, and does not present balanced facts.
Beware, the fake pro life sites like the link in #11, they try to deceive the reader. Opinions are represented as facts. Please note that they are opinions, and ones that are on the fringe as well.

Mr. president,
Keep abortion legal. A child who is unwanted will suffer in the uterus thru out life. If that woman does not want the poor baby That baby does not want her. Believe me I know my hairwas burned off as a young child. She beatregularly through life and called me trashy. My teachers yes school teachers always praised my school work, etc. I did not want to let my teachers down. I’ve led a good moral life A baby is not punishment for having sex. My own mother forwhom bought a house did not want me there when she was dying. She treated her two other children far better than me. i believe in abstinence for me, it worked, but it is not realistic for some humans. Keep abortion covered by insurance and by tax payers money. if a woman can’t afford an abortion she certainly can’t afford a baby.
Adoption is not the answer. One woman I know delivered and he baby was adopted. She did not want to see the baby. The child looked up her up and demanded to know why????she did not want her. She slammed the door, she told me and hurt all over againfrom having the child.
Abortion is legal on demand in Canada and even Israel.
Two women,Catholic, had abortions and were glad they did They felt it gave them some control over their lives.

MANY PEOPLE THINK ABORTION IS PRETTY MUCH OK, and most really believe that it is only legal for the first few months. Ask a person on the street to describe PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION, and they will just stare at you – and once you explain it to them, they insist that you are making it up, and they become angry with you for telling them something so gross. TRY IT!
SO WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT KILLING THE UNBORN?
EXODUS 21 THE BIBLE – KING JAMES version s says: 22If men (men or women, not gender specific) strive (conspire, take an action) , and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her [early, before its time, or with problems], and yet no mischief (permanent damage) follow: he (they) shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he (they) shall pay as the judges determine. 23And if any mischief (permanent damage for child or mother) follow, then thou shalt give life for life, 24 An Eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.” (pretty much describes abortion techniques)_ Basically, whatever is done to the unborn child will surely be done to those responsible for the damage – any damage, any time, anywhere. God himself will have the revenge, folks – and may God have mercy upon their souls.
