Actually, I’m in favor of flag-burning as a patriotic American gesture. It should be done at sunset on the Fourth of July, just before the fireworks. As it burns, we should remind ourselves that the flag lives in our heart and can never be burned.
One of the results of adopting such a patriotic ritual would be that everywhere in the world that protestors burned the American flag, they’d be honoring our country!!
