Let’s talk about the “Nuremberg Files.”
Just go to www.christiangallery.com and you’ll see this graphic and wacky website. It was created years ago by some yahoo named Neal Horsley and for years it struck fear in the heart of many a pro-choicer. Then, there were some of us who actually found it quite amusing. More about that later.
I recall we first got wind of this site right after Doctor David Gunn was murdered in Pensacola in 1993. The site is a list of abortion doctors, clinic staff, clinic owners, pro-choice legislators and leaders of pro-choice groups. The list was supposedly a list of people who would be “brought to trial when abortion became illegal.” You know, like the Nuremberg trials. To add flavor, the site is adorned with lots of red, dripping blood.
What got everyone’s attention was that soon after David Gunn was killed his name, which had been on the list of doctors, had a mysterious line drawn through it. The pro-choice community went nuts. Look, they cried in horror, it’s a hit list! They’re gonna get us all! The feds jumped all over it but couldn’t do much about it. Then, the next year, Doctor Baird Britton was murdered by Paul Hill and, oh my God, his name suddenly had a line through it! The pro-choice community couldn’t believe what was happening, they begged the federal government to shut down this website which they alleged was encouraging, if not commanding, less than normal people to go out and kill those who were on the list.
Mass hysteria paralyzed the pro-choice community.
But then there were those of us who were privately laughing about the whole thing. Those who had been regularly harassed, terrorized and stalked for years just looked at this list and chuckled. Then we started comparing notes and found it amusing that some of the folks on the list had retired years earlier or had died years before from natural causes. We also laughed that anti-choice legislators like Senator Bob Dole were on the list for some bizarre reason.
Still, the media had something sexy. They had a legal “hit list” and, as a result, Neal Horsley became an overnight talk show sensation. Or course, he denied that it was a hit list, but he was smart enough to sound like it was one without risking an indictment. And he knew the pro-choice community was scared shitless.
As for me, I was at the National Coalition of Abortion Providers at the time and I was ticked off that my name was not on the list. After all, all my colleagues were on it: Susan Hill, George Tiller, Eleanor Smeal and others. How come I wasn’t important enough to be on the list? Others in the field who were not on the list had the same reaction.
So, I picked up the phone and called Neal Horsley, who lived in Georgia at the time. He didn’t answer but I left a message asking him to please put me on his list. A few days later, I was on it!
I was back home with my friends.

Did you notice those anti abortion crazies even placed George Bush on their site! Did not he help the abortion casuse for anti abortion people?
What he did – did fall under hate crimes,
It was the Executive branch did not follow through properly.
I find it hard to believe that a President can be on a “hit list” site without some government authority taking serious action.
There are constraints of Free Speech, although most is and should be allowed.

As I read this post, of course I did check the web site Pat added at it… I am a curious person and I like to check it out everything before writing…
The post, as always a great one, the web site he post it in there not so much… It is clear that Horsley have that web page so he can also get his slice of money… it is easy… tax free… why not!?!?!?!?
I would like to request the pro-lifers to inform me where they can find God to get all his advices and what he want them to do it because I really have a lot of question to ask him as well, but question of more necessity for a better life to everybody, not looking only on my belly bottom…
How come this people DARE to say they are talking in the name of God………
PLEASE, it looks just like those stupid’s from Afghan that attacked us in the name of their God as well… oh but the real one’s behind were very well safe in their caverns… Yeah because those cowards do not show up to do nothing they brain wash the weak minds and send them to do the dirty job just like the pro-lifers… sorry but that is exactly what it looks like… Paul Hill on his own words said that he felt he needed to do something to show the pro-lifers he was one of them…
GOD will never instigate anybody to kill in his name, come on, the BIG GUY is powerful enough to annihilate all of us in a second if he wants to, does anybody can be so dumb to believe that he needs soldiers……….. WAKE UP…!
Yeah, people who did abortion for irresponsibility will probably pay a price later or when they have to do their “taxes” with God… this thing about using God’s words that He sent you to do this is a lame excuse of somebody who is brain washed, weak, and stupid!

George Bush was put on the list because the anti-abortion crowd felt he did not do enough to stop abortion. They felt he was giving them lip service which, in many ways, he was. As for his being on the list, remember this website just says that all of these folks will one day be held accountable for their action. The website in no way promotes harming/killing any of those on the list. It’s free speech, baby, and there ain’t nothing you can do about it…..

When I told him he was livid….several years after I retired I ran into him and he is still worried abt it…did not seem so innocent when his name was on it…..Oh brings back memories!

Neal Horsley, one of the great men this country has produced. I joined him and Jonathon O’Toole in their burning the American flag in Pensacola on the third anniversary of Paul’s Hill’s martyrdom. The other great pro-lifers stayed away because they wanted nothing to do with flag burning, but I thought this time it was appropriate.

You guys sound bad.
Paul Hill – if he was the guy that murdered the doctor . . .
He is a martyr only at Satan’s side.
I am a Catholic, I do not beleive in abortion or contraception.
The Papacy has been quite clear on where people that murder Doctors end up.
Hill and Atta are the same, burning with Satan.
Moses brought fourth some commandments to us.
There were no out clauses!
Thou Shall NOT Kill
God was smart, made it easy.
All you doctor murderer’s do is harm our cause.
Harassing some woman outside her home.
Please, you make all our efforts worthless in ten seconds.
Why are you bothering that young lady?
WWJD?
Not that, he would do something good.
I am ashamed to share the same beleif’s about abortion, with terrorists.
All you people have done is helped the abortion offices.

Dang, I hope I’m not too late here.

He is eccentric… I am a pro-life in so many ways, i am taking classes in the medical field and i got to say this, so far from what i learned 12 weeks fetus doesn’t feel pain at all… I am starting to believe that abortion is not what all my “friends” have made me believe anymore.

Pat,
I agree with you.
Although I don’t know that burning something is speech, maybe it is.
In fact if you burn things the wrong way, or too much you can be put in jail for life – Arson!
But I agree,
Burning the American flag should be allowable in the context of not breaking fire hazard laws. We all benefit from be extremely careful on restricting speech and opinion. But we do not allow all speech. I think it has been pretty reasonable.
I disagree personally with burning our flag.
It represents historically much more than any singular issue,
and one offends so many people by doing it, like Veterans of WWII.
These were heroes, and that flag was their symbol.
So to burn it for whatever they did just seems stupid, the gain, was nothing, yet disturbed a lot of people for no reason. Just disrespectful to other people.
If those anti Abortion guys had a flag, I would love to burn it somewhere safe like in a fireplace.
Did they burn it near something, where did they burn it?

Dont know where they burned it. I, also, am personally repulsed by the burning of the flag but, again, when that occurs it is someone’s way of “saying” that they have an issue with our country. That is free speech. Sometimes we have to look at the greater good and put up with the ugliness. That’s why I totally support the right of an anti-abortion person to scream and yell at women as they enter the clinics…. speechtadru

Jesus never said you can’t burn a flag. I support the right of Speech for you abortionists as well.
Screaming and yelling and threatening and intimidating women is Not OK. And it is not legal.
Most importantly WWJD?

The Nuremberg Files, according to its inventor, is not a hit list. It is technically a list of pro-choice people who, the inventor says, will be brought to trial when abortion becomes illegal. Then, when a doctor was killed, the inventor drew a line through that doctor’s name and then all of a sudden the pro-choice groups went nuts, saying “look, it’s a hit list.” We gave the inventor way too much credit and he played with our fear for years.

In the early years, the authorities were local police and they usually didn’t get involved. Then, the feds got the authority and it still took them a while, but ultimately they got cracking. Still, the police have to be very careful before they arrest someone for a “threat,” however you define that…

I don’t define it. The law does.
They clearly make threats all the time. A doctor on this site mentioned that they get death threats all the time, letters threatening bio terrorism weekly, his buddy was murdered, bomb threats daily, staplers routinely.
That is the short list.
Sounds like the definition of threat has clearly but achieved ,
It appears to be an executive enforcement issue.
The letters with threats of bioterrorism,
Jeez, in this day and age?
That is serious, if they wanted to enforce it would.be easy.

I found that the video camera was my friend! After awhile my worst protestor got so use to it she stopped paying close attention…that was her downfall! When you tape over the red light and don’t look like your taping…..they have been known to go over the line just as she did! Aimed with that proof I finally go into court on a state level then with that conviction of stalking the police felt more impowered to get a little tougher! Then once we were aimed with all that and got into federal court she and her little cronies were “finished”!!! There are still protestors over there but not like them and that’s ok…..Just don’t threaten and make it personal!
