It seems that every once in a while, we get a new, energized abortion rights advocate who starts screaming about how every pro-lifer is a “terrorist.” They usually also add how the Catholic Church has murdered more people than any other religion in the world, but I don’t have the time or energy to research what the Catholic Church has done over the centuries so I don’t opine on those comments. However, I do have some experience in the world of abortion, so I would like to chat a little about whether or not all pro-lifers are “terrorists.”
I guess the first thing one needs to do is define “terrorist.” In my head, the true terrorists are, of course, the folks who fly crowded airplanes into buildings, who blow themselves up in crowded market squares and who plot the death of innocent civilians or government workers. You know who I am talking about: Bin Laden, Timothy McVeigh, and that nut ball up in Norway who recently killed all of those kids. Then there are the Micheal Griffins, James Kopps and Paul Hills of the world. True terrorists, they.
But then, way on the other end of the spectrum, are those pro-lifers who just sit in their house, avoiding all demonstrations and who rarely opine about their position on the abortion issue. They might pray at home or in church for an end in abortion and send some money to their local pro-life organization, but I have a very tough time calling them “terrorists” and I suspect that most pro-choicers would also be reluctant to affix that label to them.
Where I get stuck is when I think of those folks who go to their local abortion clinic on a regular basis and publicly demonstrate. Are they “terrorists?” Let’s talk about their motivations and their actions.
I guess your average protestorgoes to the clinic in the hopes of stopping an abortion, whether it is by engaging in prayer (don’t even ask me how that would work) or, if they chance, talking one on one with the women as they approach the
abortion facility. Once they identify the woman, they might start screaming at them. Some even resort to the use of a bullhorn. Now, a woman who has made an appointment for an abortion usually is warned by clinic staff that there may be protestors outside so when she sees the anti-abortion folks out front, she knows they smell blood. Then scream at her that she is “killing your baby!” They may make a crying baby sound and shriek “Mommy, don’t let them pull my legs off!” Sometimes it is just a simple “Murderer!” The woman may have been warned, she may have seen demonstrations on television, but she is rarely prepared for this scene. And, to top it off, she doesn’t want to be at the clinic in the first place.
Over the years, I have seen this scenario played out in the front of many clinics. The unique perspective that I have, however, is that on a number of occasions, I have walked with the women passed the protestors into the actual clinic. Some gave me permission to accompany them through the entire abortion process. I have seen (and the protestors haven’t) how upset the women are when they sign in, whose blood pressure has risen because they are so angry at these strangers outside the clinic who don’t know her or anything about her personal situation. I’ve seen women who have already shed a few tears as she contemplated her decision shed even more tears in the waiting room. And then, after all of the theatrics outside, I’ve then seen them have their abortion.
Not all pro-lifers are terrorists. That’s a silly statement. But I would conclude that to the women who walked the anti-abortion gauntlet, who could feel the hatred, who heard the screaming, who would prefer to be just with alone with their loved ones – I would say that those particular women were indeed “terrorized.”

I laud your comments and would emphasize that many of these so-called prolifers fail to honor the human rights of women who are different from them, who view life differently.
Prolifers honor the human rights of the woman and her unborn child. The only thing we view differently from you, Kate, is that we believe ALL life is precious, those born and those not yet born.

Didn’t your parents EVER teach any of your pro-aborts anything about taking personal responsibility for your actions? Persevering when the going gets tough? Hanging in there when you’d rather not? Or was everything always taking the ‘easy way out?’ Quit the team if the coach thinks there’s someone better than you that gets more playing time – he’s a stupid coach anyway; quit your job if your boss doesn’t understand or appreciate you – he’s just a jerk and you’re way smarter than him; divorce your spouse because he/she’s ‘changed’ and those vows you took before God – heck you weren’t really SERIOUS about them were you? You don’t think we really MEANT IT when we said we promised to love and cherish each other ’till death do we part.’
Last but not at all least, just kill the baby before it is born if you didn’t intend to be pregnant or if it’s not a convenient time because, heck, you’ve got more important things for YOU to do right now by golly. When I really WANT a kid, then I’ll go and have one (just not the same one that I’m disposing of in the glass jar or in the packaged box picked up by Stericycle as infectious waste and ends up God knows where from there. No. No personal responsibility necessary. Screw everybody. I’m the only one who counts for anything. Life revolves around me, only me, and all my wants and needs. And anyway, those pro-lifers were mean to me offering me literature with phone #’s for me to get help, free ultrasounds, and anything at all that would help alleviate the reason that they find themselves at a killing mill. Imagine the audacity of offering a fellow human being help and assistance. What kind of a terrorist does something like that? (look inside the mill for all the terrorists – they come in many shapes and sizes)
You folks are all the products of the new generation of parenting called permissiveness and coddling. Oh Lucy dear, aren’t you the smart one! That just wonderful dear – when the poor kid can’t even pick her nose to save her life. If not the new generation of parenting, then just negligent or poor parenting sorry to say. Either that or those darned liberal visiting professors who infect impressionable minds with radical, femi-nazi totally misguided lies and distortions.

Actually, Peter was correct. Another term for an ectopic pregnancy is a tubal pregnancy. You, however, have a flaw in your post: babies don’t exist inside the body, silly. Just as healthy teenagers don’t babble and wear diapers, and the elderly don’t attend classes at your local elementary school.

One of the ANONYMOUS COWARDS wrote: “Didn’t your parents EVER teach any of your pro-aborts anything about taking personal responsibility for your actions?”
Well, I had to ponder this for a while but I have tentatively concluded that the seven deadly sins are a great place to start a conversation about personal responsibilty. I’ll begin with wrath which is counted as one of the seven deadly sins.
WRATH- Watch a couple of the women and one man and you’ll see an amazing display of anger. One even told me her anger was “righteous anger” which made me laugh, especially considering she and her son are recognized hotheads.
GREED is another sin and a secular psychological concept that describes an inordinate desire to acquire or possess more than one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth. One protester finds so much satisfaction in recounting all that she does, all that she buys for poor women, all that her husband affords her.
SLOTH is another sin that frowns on those who don’t work to support society or further God’s plan. You’d have to examine the protesters work history to realize that most of them don’t work but do expect others to support them.
PRIDE is a sin that means having a high sense of self, an inflated sense of one’s personal status. Nowhere is this more evident than in the protesters who thrive on the paltry few who they’ve managed to convince to continue their pregnancy. Translation: Protesters who thrive on those babies they’ve saved. See how wonderful we are!
LUST is a sin that doesn’t mean a celibate body, but a celibate mind. The protesters don’t get that. Their mind is in the gutter, so to speak, because they’re inordinately concerned with the physical body.
ENVY is a universal and most unfortunate aspect of human nature because not only is the envious person rendered unhappy by her envy, but also wishes to inflict misfortune on others. This is evident in the rants of protesters who wish dread, shame, regret and guilt on women because of their own misfortune.
GLUTTONY is evident in the over-indulgence of protesters’ food and drink and the over-consumption of their wasteful vehicles.
So, I’d volley the same question. Didn’t your parents ever teach you about taking personal responsibilty? If they didn’t, did your high school or college teach you about taking personal responsibilty?
And, finally, what is Personal Responsibilty? What personal responsibilty have you taken for your self?

I read that you were getting old. That is why it is so important that you make sure your eternal soul is not damned.

Mary, as a so-called “pro-lifer” he is working as hard as he can to reassure himself of eternal life by becoming a “hero” to society. He does this by defining what a hero is in terms that will cost him as little as possible– not his life, not his money, not his free time….

Do you folks get pleasure out of things like this? Have any of you had an unwanted pregnancy? Indeed, I will bet the ranch that some of you folks, including those of you who hide behind an anonymous name, have had an abortion.
And let me tell ya something…when a woman comes in for an abortion she herself is the one who says “I can’t have this baby.” It’s not like you’re educating someone…

You’re leaving yourself open here, Pat. Isn’t there some cliche that says the pervert thinks everybody’s like him?

Oh, hell, John….I always leave myself open, dont I? But you know I go as far as any pro-choicer to repect you folks and to even defend some of your actions, but I just kept thinking how I would feel if I were a woman who had had an abortion. It’s just vile stuff, very mean. C’mon, you folks can make your point without this kind of stuff can’t you? UGH>>>

I shouldn’t have used that pervert analogy because you’re anything but. However, lots of people have not killed their children, Pat, even today when making that legal has increased the number exponentially. Because you’re in the killing business, you tend to and need to think it’s normal. But it ain’t and it will never be. I don’t care if the law goes on to say everyone must kill her first and last child. It will always be an abomination.

Some pro.death say that they support the right of women to have full determination of their bodies and control of their reproduction. but.. where is the control of reproduction? they just deal with the consecuences.. if they really care about the control of reproduction they should be giving contraceptive pills, instead of abortion pills

Hey, Don’t get it…abortion clinics DO give out birth control pills. They normally give out two free months and try to get the woman on a birth control regime.
Any response to that FACT?

. . . .
GREED is another sin and a secular psychological concept that describes an inordinate desire to acquire or possess more than one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth. One protester finds so much satisfaction in recounting all that she does, all that she buys for poor women, all that her husband affords her.
ENVY is a universal and most unfortunate aspect of human nature because not only is the envious person rendered unhappy by her envy, but also wishes to inflict misfortune on others. This is evident in the rants of protesters who wish dread, shame, regret and guilt on women because of their own misfortune.

It is sadly apparent to the reader that kate has a proclivity to whine, complain, and make false judgments against pro-life advocates as well as covet their worldly goods. The reader is afraid that this must be a miserable existence for her.
In God’s perfect providencial timing he brought to light to me the reading from today’s mass taken from Matthew 20:1-16. For the sake of brevity I will summarize the reading. It is a story about the wages that are to be paid to the workers in the vineyard by the landowner of the vineyard The landowner calls the workers into the vineyard at different times of the day yet at the end of the day pays them all the same wage which they had all agreed upon at the beginning of their work. Those that worked the full day complained that they were paid the same amount as those who only began their work later in the day. To clarify further the landowner represents the Lord and the vineyard His kingdom – working in the vineyard represents all of us as we serve Him. The emphasis on wages are representative of God’s gifts or rewards for faithful service. Please note that the length of service and the amount of work does not determine the reward as per God’s own words. Also attention must be given to verse 15 when the Lord (as the landowner) asks the complaining worker, “Am I not permitted to do what I want with what belongs to me? Or are you envious because I am generous?” Prayerfully ask yourself that question kate. Are you envious because I have been blessed and have had the good fortune to be generous with the gifts God has given me? Because you should not. Anyone can be generous. It can be as simple as a kind word or a smile to someone with whom you disagree. After all even the pagans are nice to those that they are in agreement with. So why don’t you start there? It will do your soul good once you begin. Perhaps it’s too hard – alright then I’ll begin.
Good morning kate. How are you doing today? I hope you are fine.

Perhaps I should post a video of one of the female protesters calling escorts terrorists. Just to keep things interesting. Would you like to see that? Or how about calling the clinic a slaughterhouse? Or how about calling volunteers and women murderers? Or how about calling an escort fag boy? Or calling several escorts stiff-necked Jews?
The lack of civility has its way with everyone, now and then.
slaugh·ter·house [slaw-ter-hous] Show IPA
noun, plural -hous·es [-hou-ziz] Show IPA.
a building or place where animals are butchered for food; abattoir.
Abortion mills ARE slaughterhouses. Women are herded around inside like animals and their babies are butchered (oops – aborted) for the almighty $$. Oh – and for the record – there is one baby alive today because of that statement. It resonated with the mother and as she was being herded around inside the killing me the thought came to her that “This place IS a slaughterhouse” and she left. Her baby just had her first birthday last month! Praise be to God goes all the glory. Amen
Thanks for reminding us though kate. We’ll start using it again. You’re great you know that?
