Abortion
On January 22, 1973 the Supreme Court of the United States legalized abortion in the case of Roe v Wade. It was a dramatic day for women’s rights and for the health of millions of women who sought out abortion services.
Prior to this decision, abortion was illegal in most states. Despite that, many women still desired to abort their pregnancies so they resorted to dangerous and sometimes fatal “back alley abortions” performed by less-than-qualified “doctors.” As a result, thousands of women died from botched abortions and many more wound up in their local emergency rooms with serious complications.
Ultimately, a few states like New York and California made abortion legal and hundreds and thousands of women flocked to those states to obtain safe, legal abortions. But this situation obviously only benefited women who could afford to go to those states. Many more women continued to suffer.
Meanwhile, the Texas state legislature had passed a very restrictive abortion law and that law was challenged by a young woman named Norma McCorvey. To protect her anonymity, she used the name “Jane Roe” for her case. That case ultimately made its way to the Supreme Court where she prevailed.
In essence, the Court declared that abortion services should be available to women without restriction until the point of viability (approx 24 weeks). Suddenly, abortion clinics sprung up all across the country. Doctors who had witnessed personally the horrors of illegal abortion came forward to offer their services to the abortion clinics. Today, abortion is one of the safest medical procedures performed on women.
Despite its legality, abortion is one of the most controversial political issues this nation has ever confronted. The abortion procedure has been severely stigmatized and violence against abortion providers by anti-abortion terrorists has been rampant over the years. Indeed, several abortion doctors and clinic staff have been murdered by anti-abortion zealots.
Still, many abortion providers have remained stalwart and continue to offer their services to women. Today, a little over one million women obtain abortions every year.

Abortion should remain legal and anyone who wants to be a misogynist and take away the civil liberties of women, and their access to abortion is a bonehead.

wonderful photos Tiffany just as you pedticerd, I LOVE THEM! okay, here’s my take on what is going on:My name is Elsie and my job calls for me to be creative and intuitive. I’ve been watching my latest mark over the last few weeks and finally figured out a way to finish out my latest paying gig.See he works for the railroad company repairing the tracks, testing RR crossing signs, etc. I’ve been studying his schedule and knew he’d be been in this area today. While bidding my time, I took self portraits on the tracks until I saw his truck approaching (yeah , I do stuff like that).Quickly I donned the heavy chains to complete my damsel in distress act. I saw him approaching with alarm in his eyes. Are you alright, miss? He reached down to remove the chains when I sprang into action and delivered my line: “by the state of Washington, consider yourself served with this subpoena . I dusted myself off and walk away. Another job well done.

This abortion blog is a great service to the community. I am 24 and have learned so much about abortion,
I was taught so many wrong and stupid lies about abortion from my school, The Church, and my family.
It was so easy to look up the facts on abortion and the abortion pill, I cannot beleive how young people are lied to by their trusted institutions.
This abortion blog has allowed my to develop a real opinion on abortion issues. I will be voting for a long time.

God Says:
‘Cursed is the one who takes a bribe to slay an innocent person.’
(Deuteronomy 27:25)I am going to post a web link to a video please watch what people are doing to their babies.
http://www.abortionno.org/
These babies are innocent. They have done no wrong. If their parents did not want them, then why are you having sex? If it is the case of rape, a terrible thing happened to an innocent woman. That’s undeniable, but what makes that woman any better when she wants to turn around and do something terrible to an INNOCENT child, yes people, a CHILD. Please go to the link above, click on the first option and view the video. See for yourself exactly what is going on. Thank You.

Sarah, in the perfect world people would never have unprotected sex but that’s not the real world. People take risks all the time. Yes, it’s sad that they became pregnant and are having abortions, but history shows that you’re not going to stop the desire to have abortions. We can only hope that they are performed in a medically safe environment.

Abortion right’s are so important we pray for R v W in our Church!
Women must always have the choice in the matter.
The almighty gave us freewill so we could make the important choices for our selves.
Not because God wanted to judge or condemn, but God wanted his Love to be shown, and if forgiveness was necessary it would always be given.
In this transient world we live in, God created a situation where we only had our lives, and it made us value our lives that much more as we all know our lives will as will the lives of everyone we know.
God Bless America!
