If one does not know what they are talking about they should not be so dogmatic in their opinion. I see this Dunkle guy can’t even answer simple questions.
Just because he can write about, does not mean he should.
He misrepresents facts, lies, and many other horrible things.

To Pat in #23: “unreal children”: the so-called “pro-lifers” cannot settle for anything less than granting that a fetus is in fact a child.
Otherwise at best they would be attempting to rescue something that rated only somewhat higher than a puppy. That would be a pretty good PR stance, but not good enough for people who want to be remembered as another Horatio at the bridge or Joan of Arc.
It’s important to them to challenge any attempt to describe the fetus as it actually is.

Well, in the interests of keeping the true pro-ife spirit alive, I am expropriating this site.
Welcome to the world of RESPONSIBLE Right to Life! We are an association of pro-lifers who pledge to raise to adulthood every “unborn human” we want “rescued.” This means setting aside the price of a Lamborghini for every pregnant woman, so that she will be able to afford all the expenses involved in raising her child.
It’s quite an effective tactic, when you think about it. There’s no need to stand on a sidewalk on a chilly morning, screaming our lungs out at her as she walks past. All we have to do is hold the check out. If she takes it, well, we’ve saved another unborn innocent for Jesus! If she doesn’t, we’re $285,000 ahead. It’s a win-win situation.
Unfortunately, there are a whole lot of so-called “pro-lifers” who have refused to join. Some names that come to mind are kathy, nancy, jamie, bruce, randy, ralph, wanda and john. We haven’t figured out why they won’t put their money where their mouth is, but they won’t talk about it.

I am so pro-life that of course I am against abortion, but I cannot disconnect my hatred of abortion from my responsibility to protect and nurture all the children that I want to rescue. These are children whom I insist be born, and for which I therefore bear responsibility.
Therefore, I will only oppose abortion as an option for the woman who agrees to accept from me $285,000.
If I only hate abortion but will not care for the children whom I insist be born, then there is something wrong with my thinking.

When you consider that “pro-choicers” choose to raise to adulthood every child they want born, you realize there’s no gap at all between what they want and what responsible pro-lifers want. Why they treat the irresponsible pro-lifers as though they’re mentally balanced is beyond me.

Well, Pat, of course I have to hate the women who have them!
Why? Because they’re poking me in the eye with a stick: I don’t like abortion, and they are having one!
They should be more considerate of my feelings! God is going to send them to Hell for ignoring me. They cannot be punished enough. If they would only listen to me, then everything would work out according to God’s plan, even if the baby grew up to kill two dozen women or shoot Gabby whatserface in the head. Too bad about her, but I’m just doing God’s work here, and they should accept God’s inscrutable plan for the baby I am not going to take care of.
So, don’t ask me to help them out with their kids. Fighting abortion is much more important.

Actually, I don’t hate women who have abortions; that would mean hating half the women in America. But I do hate abortion!!!! I hate it so much that I will pay a woman $284,000 not to have one, if she’ll take the money. As soon as I get the first $284,000 scraped up, I’ll start matching my deeds to my words, unlike so-called “pro-lifers.”
Meanwhile, I have pretty much wrapped up trying to help kids without having $284,000; it’s been a long slog. From here on in, it’s all trying to get scpl’s to do what I used to.

Harrison, in correspondence with him, I have found him to be unable to imagine the needs of a child, to expand his area of concern for children beyond those few of whom he has direct knowledge, to be a bully, to be crafty in concealing his true knowledge and to be very committed in projecting himself as one who protects [imaginary] children from [imaginary] torture.
I believe that like many other so-called “pro-lifers” he does what he does not out of care for real human life, but of a need to punish, to achieve potency and a sense of purpose in the only way he sees possible in our society.

Pat, OK, you know me better than I do, and that’s usually my line. I grew up in a tough
Catholic neighborhood near Morristown, NJ. We were bad, but we thought we were badder than we were; but, we did come close to killing ourselves and each other, and “them,” lots of times, and it happened only once or twice. Anyway, at 8 or 9 years old we had our eyes open: “You got only two sisters? They do the dirty.” “They” meaning your parents. We knew our religion better then than now. I’ll continue from here, but you gotta remind me.

Oh, stop it. Don’t blame my weakness on yourself. Of course what I said was too cryptic. Here’s what I meant. As soon as we learned from each other (about age 7) where we came from and how we got here, we learned that the Church said the sexual act must occur only within marriage and must be open to procreation. So, if your parents were not hypocrites, you’d have lots of brothers and sisters. If not, you were open to attack, and, boy, did we love to attack each other.
I learned what sodomy and abortion were around then too. I learned they were profound disorders and I still think that, age 75.

Donna, The Golden Rule says do to others as you would want them to do to you. Would you want someone to torture you or help torture you to death? That’s what happens in an abortion: someone is tortured to death. See how that is exactly the opposite to The Golden Rule? (You’re playing me, right? You knew this right off, didn’t you.)

I can accept living by the Golden Rule: I would rather be aborted than grow up without a modicum of proper nurture and become your murderer.
Yes, I know: I’ve already been born. And you haven’t undertaken to nurture that last child yoiu insisted someone else bear. Nor have you taken the time to learn what happens to children who don’t receive the sort of care you owe them.

#1. It might be more appropriate but syntactically it’s abominable.
#2. When I was an older boy, one tried to, but I was too clever for him (and I had a gang to protect me; kids need gangs).
#3 Because a man can enter the priesthood and hide his disorder whereas in this day and age all bachelors are suspect.

“. . . you haven’t undertaken to nurture that last child you insisted someone else bear.” All that last child wants is someone to save him from the killer’s knife.
“Nor have you taken the time to learn what happens to children who don’t receive the sort of care you owe them.” I have learned this from experience, Chuck, not, like you, from psychology texts. (Remember that I am still caring for a mentally ill son and I know what his world is like.) But one may not kill himself or others just to avoid burdens.

You’ve been taking care of a “mentally ill” son for decades, but you still refuse to take on the next one. That’s not saying much for your desire to care for the children you want others to bear. From 1983 to 2010, I was ready to take on the next one that others had decided to bear without my meddling in their lives.

Here’s another reason it’s a disorder: if you are pregnant, the natural way is to carry the baby to term (I’ve told Kate this about a hundred times, and now she agrees with me). It is not natural to pay someone to cut the baby out of your body. If you go against nature, nature will strike back, and I’m not just talking about breast cancer. (I use “natural” and “orderly” as synonyms here.)

I do.
She is choosing to kill her baby, and then hiring a hit person who is indifferent to the situation, or just does it herself with meds.
I believe the Mothers should be punished under law.
Especially now with the Abortion Pill where a mother does not need another person to kill her baby.

It’s also natural to let a baby die for lack of immunizations, to be blinded for life by an STD acquired during birth, to die for having been put to sleep on its stomach or to be fed infant formula prepared with contaminated water or breast milk tainted with HIV.
Parents who are concerned for their children’s well-being do act against what some people consider to be the “natural order.” (The Church of the First Born in Hobart, Oklahoma was one group who would condemn a parent for taking their children to a doctor for any reason.)
It is no more “unnatural” to choose an abortion than it is to deliberately intject into one’s own body an inactivated virus for the purpose of ensuring a good life for oneself and one’s loved ones. You cannot separate the intention from the action.
If you think you can love “unloved ones” any better than the woman who is carrying one, you’re welcome to offer her $284,000 to raise it to adulthood for you.
